    I have this coin with die cracks on the obverse and a silver linear gob over the S mint and tranfer from die to both side

    Your example sounds quite interesting, Rich. I'll have to examine mine for die cracks. The tumult of Civil War during this period might, I suppose, have had something to do with poor quality dies and production methods.
